Abstract

The article presents the teacher's and the students' books for a 45-hour Catalan course. It specifies the target audience considering the sociolinguistic situation in Catalonia and the legislation about language integration in the territory. It also specifies the educational criteria used to develop the material. Finally, it explains why having edited and published material so that adults with low levels of formal education can learn the target language is important.
